This Vendor Policy outlines the rules, responsibilities, and expectations for all vendors using the AFIT Digital Market platform. By registering as a vendor, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Vendor Eligibility

To become a vendor, you must:

  • Provide accurate personal and business information.
  • Have a valid phone number and contact details.
  • Be responsible and capable of managing your listings and customers.

AFIT Digital Market reserves the right to approve or reject any vendor application.

2. Vendor Registration & Payment

  • Vendors are required to pay a one-time registration fee of ₦3,000 (or as updated by the platform).
  • Vendors who joined before launch may have special pricing as communicated.
  • All payments are non-refundable.

Failure to complete payment may result in:

  • Account restriction.
  • Inability to list products.

3. Vendor Responsibilities

As a vendor, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate product details (name, price, description, category).
  • Upload clear and appropriate images.
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly.
  • Maintain professionalism in all interactions.
  • Keep your contact information updated.

4. Product Listing Guidelines

All listings must:

  • Be truthful and not misleading.
  • Clearly state pricing.
  • Belong to the correct category.
  • Use original or authorized images.

Prohibited Listings: Vendors must NOT list:

  • Illegal or banned items.
  • Stolen goods.
  • Fraudulent or fake products.
  • Offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content.
  • Duplicate or spam listings.

5. Ads & Promotions

  • Vendors may have access to promotional features (e.g., ads on AFIT News channel).
  • Ads are subject to availability and platform rules.
  • The platform does not guarantee sales, traffic, or engagement.
  • Unused promotional benefits may expire and cannot be carried over.

6. Transactions & Customer Dealings

AFIT Digital Market is a listing platform only. Vendors handle all:

  • Payments.
  • Deliveries.
  • Customer service.

The platform is not responsible for:

  • Failed transactions.
  • Product quality issues.
  • Delivery problems.

7. Account Management

Vendors are responsible for:

  • Keeping login details secure.
  • All activities under their account.

Sharing accounts is discouraged and may lead to security risks.

8. Account Suspension & Termination

AFIT Digital Market may suspend or terminate a vendor account if:

  • False or misleading information is provided.
  • There is involvement in fraud or scams.
  • Platform rules are violated.
  • There is abuse of customers or the platform.

⚠️ Note: Suspended or terminated accounts will not receive refunds.

9. Data & Content Usage

Vendors retain ownership of their content. By listing on the platform, vendors grant AFIT Digital Market permission to:

  • Display and promote.
  • Use content for marketing purposes.

10. Platform Updates

  • The platform may introduce new features, pricing, or policies.
  • Vendors will be notified of major updates.
  • Continued use of the platform means acceptance of changes.

11. Limitation of Liability

AFIT Digital Market is not liable for:

  • Loss of sales or business opportunities.
  • Customer disputes.
  • Errors in listings created by vendors.
  • Technical downtime.

12. Vendor Conduct

All vendors must:

  • Treat customers with respect.
  • Avoid abusive, threatening, or unprofessional behavior.
  • Maintain the reputation of the platform.

Violation may lead to immediate removal.

13. Deactivation & Reactivation

  • Vendors who fail to comply with policies may be deactivated.
  • Reactivation is subject to review and may require additional steps.

Important Notes
